Who would have thought the fuzzy, yet tasteful exotic fruit would be our saviour when it comes to brighter and healthier skin?

Kiwifruit is packed with vitamin C and more than 20 nutrients and antioxidants which are beneficial for your body and skin.

The main components found in kiwifruit – vitamin C, A, E and K – all have a role in protecting and repairing skin.

The extracts help nourish and moisturise the skin, protecting it against toxins while helping to repair sun damage and prevent against ageing.

Below we outline the key elements found in kiwifruit extract to highlight just how amazing this berry really is!

Vitamin C

Kiwifruit, alongside citrus fruits, have some of the highest levels of naturally derived vitamin C which is an important component when it comes to protecting our skin. Not only is vitamin C one of the richest sources of antioxidant that helps to protect against skin-damaging radicals, but, paired with other vitamins found in kiwifruit extract, it is able to revive inactive skin cells. This not only enhances recovery but improves healing.

Vitamin A

This vitamin promotes collagen and elastin formation to help firm the skin and prevent aging. Vitamin A also speeds up skin healing, reducing the appearance of pigmentation, sun damage and acne breakouts.

Vitamin E

A key vitamin for supporting the immune system, cell function and skin health, vitamin E is an antioxidant that combats the effects of toxins in the environment. As we age and are exposed to the sun and UV light, Vitamin E levels in our skin decrease making it important to consume foods high in Vitamin E as well as applying it topically through skincare products.

Vitamin K

Essential in aiding the body’s healing process, Vitamin K is often used by doctors to help with bruising and may help speed up healing. When applied topically it can help reduce the appearance of scars, dark spots, and stubborn circles under eyes.
